About this event

  • 4 hours

Join us to celebrate the opening of HOME 24 – Olana Janfa: Too Much Drama, an exhibition featuring the work of Ethiopian-born, Naarm-based artist Olana Janfa.

The event will begin in Settlers Square, in central Dandenong, where Olana has realised a large-scale public artwork as the result of a commission by Greater Dandenong City Council. The fun continues across the road at Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre, where visitors will encounter a site-responsive installation by Olana.

Experience a DJ set performance by RIDDIM, alongside traditional Ethiopian food by Afro Cafe, both local to the south-east.

Olana Janfa: Too Much Drama is the 2024 iteration of HOME, City of Greater Dandenong’s longstanding program of exhibitions featuring artists with a refugee and asylum seeker background.
