Open and FAIR Research Practices with Matthias Liffers

This session will demonstrate practices that enable research to be open and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) in line with international best practice.

Many publishers are getting on board with FAIR data to support publications. Making your data FAIR can be easier than you think, but you still need to do some thinking. This session will take you through the process of uploading a dataset to a data repository and receive a DOI that can be used as your data availability statement instead of “Contact the author for this dataset”
Matthias Liffers is a librarian with a computer science background and a proponent of open and FAIR research practices. He currently works in the Skilled Workforce team at the Australian Research Data Commons.
