About this event

ONRSR - Code of Practice - Level Crossing & Train Visibility - Consultation

Throughout 2022-2023 ONRSR directed efforts to facilitate the delivery of important research into train visibility as part of a continuing focus on safety at regional level crossings.

On the back of this research, in June 2023 Infrastructure and Transport Ministers committed to improving level crossing safety across Australia with a particular focus on train illumination and tasked ONRSR with writing a Code of Practice.

ONRSR is seeking your feedback on the draft Code of Practice – Level Crossings and Train Visibility which can be found on our website Train Visibility Review | ONRSR

To assist in your review of the code ONRSR invites you to take part in consultation sessions for questions, clarifications and intent of the consultation draft via a 45-minute Teams meeting.

Below are the session times available (note your time zone), should sessions fill quickly more will be made available.

To register, go to “Get Tickets” above and select your preferred date and time.

We will email you the Teams link a few days prior to your session. If you would like to register multiple people from your organisation, please register one person and use the Teams link provided to join in more people.

Consultation is open from Wednesday 13 March 2024 to Thursday 11 April 2024. Feedback should be provided by email to gabby.oneill@onrsr.com.au before 5pm (ACST) Thursday 11 April 2024.

General feedback and public submissions will be accepted. To support specific comments against particular text, we have created a feedback form: Feedback-Form-Code-of-Practice-Level-Crossings-and-Train-Visibility.docx (live.com). Use of the feedback form is voluntary, ONRSR will accept written feedback in any form, and that gathered through our feedback consultation sessions.

Enquiries can be directed to amber.phillips@onrsr.com.au or gabby.oneill@onrsr.com.au.

We look forward to your feedback to the consultation draft Code of Practice – Level Crossings and Train Visibility.
