A 5 week online introduction to CAD training course for the manufacturing industry in Mackay.

The training runs for 5 weeks @ 2 nights per week starting on the 14th of January. This is an online training course for workers in the manufacturing industry. See below for JANUARY 2026 dates

Introduction to Computer Aided Design Skill Set

We know that for many in the manufacturing sector, especially in regional areas, finding time for, and access to, face-to-face training can be a challenge.

That’s why we’re offering a subsidised online CAD training course, teacher led, designed to be flexible, accessible, and highly relevant to the needs of today’s manufacturers. This short course will provide you with an introduction in both 2-D and 3-D computer aided design within the manufacturing industry.

MEM30031 - Operate computer-aided design (CAD) system to produce basic drawing elements

MEM30033 - Use computer-aided design (CAD) to create and display 3-D models

Week 1: Wednesday 14 January | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm & Thursday 15 January | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Week 2: Wednesday 21 January | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm & Thursday 22 January | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Week 3: Wednesday 28 January | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm & Thursday 29 January | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Week 4: Wednesday 4 February | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm & Thursday 5 February | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Week 5: Wednesday 11 February | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm & Thursday 12 February | 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Whether you're looking to upskill yourself or build capacity in your team, this is a fantastic opportunity to access high-quality, flexible training without the need to travel. You must have access to a computer or laptop and the teacher will provide all learning materials, log on's, etc. via Google Meet.

COST - $250 subsidised fee per person

This training is subsidised by $250 per person through the Queensland Manufacturing Hubs Program, Mackay Manufacturing Hub for workers in the manufacturing industry. (Total cost without subsidy is $500 per person)
