Please note the followings
- Only Passport and Australian Driver Licence are accepted, other IDs must be verified by DUELI team prior the test.
- The placement test is a writing test that is similar to IELTS writing task number 2. Samples of the test can be found on the internet as we do not provide any test materials.
- At 2:05pm, the meeting will be locked. (Should you fail to attend by the scheduled time, you will need to reschedule your placement test.)
- During the test, the candidate must be in a quiet space and not to be interrupted by others.
- Before the commencement of test, all candidates will be asked to scan the room as no one else is permitted to be in the room while the test is being conducted.
- The candidate must log in to the Zoom meeting with a device that has a camera which allows a full view of the candidate (a laptop is recommended).
- Any incoming calls or unexpected visitors received by the test candidate will invalidate the test.
- If the internet connection is lost for more than 5 minutes, the candidate will be required to reschedule the test.
- The test will take up to 60 minutes to be completed and there are no breaks.
- The use of dictionary/translator is not permitted during the test.
- At the completion of the test, a photo of test paper(s), a photo of bio-data page of the passport, and a candidate's selfie with bio-data page must be taken and sent to dueli-info@deakin.edu.au.
- The candidate’s test will not be assessed if it is completed via an electronic device.
- The test session will be recorded and by attending the test, the candidate agrees to this condition.
- As per DUELI policy, we DO NOT provide any feedback or re-assess the test.
- No show participants may NOT be offered the opportunity to re-schedule the test.
- If the participant wishes to cancel the test, kindly do so through the test booking confirmation email at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session.

Yes, a smart phone can be used to attend the test, however, please ensure the phone is set up in a spot where your workstation can be seen.
The test samples can be found via internet browsing or through IELTS textbooks available for purchase at bookstores/e-bookstores as we do not provide any test related materials.
To reschedule the test, prior booked test session needs to be cancelled which can be made by clicking 'View and Manage' on the confirmation email. Once you have followed the cancellation process, you may re-book the test.
On the confirmation email, you may click 'Go to my ticket'. Accordingly, it will take you to another page where you can click 'View the links'.
Cancellation made less than 48 hours – 'Once' whereas cancellation made more than 48 hours – 'Twice'.
DUELI test result is valid for 2 years once taken, therefore you are not allowed to re-take the test within the mentioned timeframe.
The student has the option to sit an official English proficiency test such as IELTS, TOEFL or PTE as we do not re-assess the test nor provide feedback.
Unfortunately, DUELI does not provide any feedback as it is a free service.
