Overview

Businesses and Residents: Help revitalise our town — in just one week.

The One-Week Town Boost is a hands-on, high-energy week that brings businesses, residents and Council together to breathe new life into our town centre.

Rather than more reports or long-term plans, this week focuses on a series of actions that will give Abergele an immediate boost.

If you are passionate about your town, then plan to attend one of these events:

How to Boost Your Town - Tuesday 24March

Find out what’s happening during the One-Week Town Boost and how you can get involved.

This is not about more talk. It’s about small, practical actions that will make a real difference in the town centre.

The week culminates in a One-Day Makeover of one key space — created by local businesses, residents and Council working together.

Planning the One-Day Makeover - Wednesday 25 March

This is a fun, hands-on session where we plan the One-Day Makeover together.

Businesses, residents and Council staff will work in small groups to decide what will be created, where, and who will do what on the Makeover Day.

You don’t need special skills. If you care about your town and want to be part of something positive, this session is for you.

Workshops for Businesses: Reducing the Barriers - Thursday 26 March

This hands-on workshop helps you see your business through a customer’s eyes and identify the small signals that quietly say “don’t come in” — signals that are easy for businesses to miss.

You’ll leave with a practical, easy-to-apply plan to make your business more welcoming and increase walk-ins immediately.

Workshop for Businesses: Create Buzz, Increase Sales - Friday 27 March

Great town centres don’t just look good — they feel alive.

In this practical workshop, you’ll learn how to turn everyday transactions into memorable experiences that customers talk about, share, and come back for.

You’ll leave with clear, doable plan to create buzz around your business and increase sales without relying on discounts or advertising.

One-Day Makeover - Saturday 28 March

This is where the talk turns into action.

Join businesses, residents and Council staff for a hands-on day transforming one key town centre space together.

No experience is needed — just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and be part of creating visible, positive change in a single day.

Who should attend?

  • Local business owners and staff
  • Residents who care about their town centre
  • Community groups and volunteers
  • Anyone with ideas, energy or curiosity

You don’t need experience — just a willingness to get involved.
