The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival returns to Warners Bay Theatre on Saturday 28 March 2026!
The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival is an annual theatre competition featuring a series of short one-act plays written and submitted to the festival by local, national and international playwrights.
After a dedicated rehearsal period, these works are brought to life on the Warners Bay Theatre stage by local performing artists, under the direction of Festival Director Charlotte De Wit.
Be taken on a rollercoaster ride as the plays explore contemporary themes that will make you laugh, cry, and challenge your perspective.

FESTIVAL DIRECTOR
Charlotte De Wit
With a passion for the performing arts that burns brightly, Charlotte De Wit is a versatile and accomplished artistic director, director, actor and producer. Currently serving as the Co-Artistic Director, at HER Productions, Charlotte possesses a wealth of experience in artistic direction, event management, directing and collaboration.

All seating is general admission.
PARKING
The carpark at the rear of the theatre can be accessed via the John Street entrance, with limited on street parking available.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Warners Bay Theatre can be accessed via a ramp on Lake St and flat entry once inside the building. The venue has LH and RH accessible toilets. There are two accessible parking spots are in the car park behind the theatre via the John Street entry.
COMPANION CARDS
Warners Bay Theatre accepts Companion Card bookings, please call 02 4921 0400 to book.
At the time of purchase, Companion Card holders provide their valid Companion Card number and expiry date. Cardholders purchase one ticket and will then be issued with one complimentary ticket for their essential support companion.
HEARING LOOP
Set hearing loop to T (Telecoil) - coverage between stage and tiered seating.
DRINKS AND SNACKS
There will be a bar open with wine, beer and snacks available to purchase using EFTPOS only.
