Everyone is welcome to the Acknowledgement and Wrap up sessions either in person or via Zoom link.
Please book into ONE morning and ONE afternoon session ONLY.
The day will start with an Acknowledgement of Country and an overview of its Cultural Context in the Newcastle/ Awabakal region presented by Peter Townsend from the Awabakal Local Aboriginal Land Council.
Participants have the opportunity to attend session including:
- Guided campus walk looking at the local flora and fauna with Peter Townsend.
- Learn Aboriginal weaving techniques with Aunty Daniella.
- Learn about the resurgence of traditional manufacturing techniques with local Worimi man Luke Russell.
- Participate in a discussion with the presenters at the end of the day.
