We invite you to join us at Off the Menu, Camp Quality Victoria’s signature dining event.
Six of Melbourne’s best local chefs will play host to a six course, sit down, dining extravaganza at the Melbourne Meat Market.
The wonderfully talented Matthew Butcher (of <A HREF="http://www.morrisjones.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Morris Jones" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Morris Jones</A>) has joined forces with us to create this event. He has invited some of his most gifted peers to come along and cook a course with him. We are excited to announce Steve Svenson (<A HREF="http://barrycoffeeandfood.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="BARRY" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BARRY</A>), Andy Harmer (<A HREF="http://www.thepointalbertpark.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Point" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Point</A>), Darren Purchese (<A HREF="http://www.burchandpurchese.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Burch and Purchese Sweet Studio" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Burch and Purchese Sweet Studio</A>), Jake Kellie (<A HREF="http://www.thelakesidemill.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Lakeside Mill" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Lakeside Mill</A>), and Simon Tarlington (<A HREF="https://www.therailway.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Railway Hotel Windsor" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Railway Hotel Windsor</A>) will be delighting us with their talents on the evening.
The delicious food and drinks will be complimented by an atmosphere that will reflect your journey through a typical Melbourne day.
Join us at our very first Off The Menu, and not only will you have a wonderful night, you’ll be helping support kids, and their families, living with cancer.

Matthew Butcher - <A HREF="http://www.morrisjones.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Morris Jones" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Morris Jones</A> / Matthew’s individual style has been honed from a wealth of diverse influences, having worked under three world renowned chefs - Gordon Ramsay, Shannon Bennett, and Ryan Clift. He is now the head chef at Morris Jones

Andrew Harmer - <A HREF="http://www.thepointalbertpark.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Point" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Point</A> / Andy Harmer has made a huge impact in the culinary scene. Before taking over The Point Albert Park, Andy was Executive Chef at Vue de Monde, working alongside Shannon Bennett for seven years, followed by being head chef at Virginia Plain.

Darren Purchese - <A HREF="http://www.burchandpurchese.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio</A> / Owner, pastry chef and creative force behind Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio, Darren is one of most respected pastry chefs working in Australia today, renowned for his exquisite and extravagant sweet creations.

Steve Svenson - <A HREF="http://barrycoffeeandfood.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="BARRY" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BARRY </A>/ Starting off as a delivery driver for a chicken shop, Steve whet his appetite for cooking at an Asian Cookery Course. Since then he has pursued a career in food, and made a name for himself as Head Chef at the well-respected Pillar of Salt in Richmond. When approached by the owners to join forces in BARRY, Steve jumped at the chance.

Jake Kellie – <A HREF="http://www.thelakesidemill.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Lakeside Mill" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Lakeside Mill</A> / After working in renowned restaurants like The Ledbury, The Fat Duck, & Maze, Jake returned to Australia to take on his first Head Chef role at The Commoner. His passion for foraging & seasonal produce is where he draws his inspiration from. His philosophy on food is to keep it simple, & use traditional cooking techniques to create delicious meals.

Simon Tarlington - <A HREF="http://www.therailway.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Railway Hotel - Windsor" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Railway Hotel - Windsor</A> / Simon made his start cooking in clubs and hotels. Once qualified, he moved to London and work at some of the finest restaurants in the world, including Maze and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. He’s now the Head Chef at The Railway Hotel, which was awarded the Best Pub Restaurant in Victoria by The Australian Hotels Association!

Alice In Frames - Our MC for the night, <A HREF="http://aliceinframes.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Alice In Frames" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alice 'in Frames’ Zaslavsky</A>, makes life fun through food, the arts, and culture. A former Middle School teacher, and head of department, she traded chalk and talk, for talk and stir in 2012, following a stint on a MasterChef.

Chris Beltrame - Chris picked up the guitar at 14, started working on his vocals and the harmonica at 18, and then took to the streets of Melbourne as a busker. With 2 years of busking experience under his belt, he has honed his craft, becoming the gifted musician he is today.

Jackson Thomas - <A HREF="http://www.jacksonwthomas.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Jackson Thomas" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jackson</A> found great success finishing second on The Voice 2014. Classically trained, his pure tone and haunting voice complements his raw interpretations of popular covers and original music. He has a rare quality that captivates an audience and moves people emotionally.

Having played across the globe, she’s honed her skills, and built a reputation of seamlessly blending classics to the latest tracks.

Nick Hinder - A visual artist who wants to include themes and issues important to him, Nick creates meaningful and impactful work. Recently he’s been exploring the concept of serotiny in native flora.

The Letterettes - <A HREF="http://theletterettes.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Letterettes" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Letterettes</A> are four gal pals who share a love of lettering and sequinned jackets. Thrill-seekers at heart, they always look for work with a 'live' element. Their folio includes murals, customised on-the-spot gift cards, signage, and workshops.

Mike Eleven - A multi-disciplinary creative whose focus lies in art and design, <A HREF="http://www.mikeeleven.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Mike Eleven" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mike </A>has left a significant mark on the industry. Over the years, his work has transformed, and now he’s experimenting with a self-taught version of painting. His work has been exhibited in numerous group shows across Australia.
