Join us and discover the power and potential of creative off-camera flash lighting! If you've alway wanted to learn how to effectively use off camera lights such as speedlights and battery powered strobes, then this is a great way to learn this style of creative lighting in a hands-on environment.
You'll learn how to work your light on its Manual mode: what the numbers mean, how to set up and use off-camera flash, and how to make use of lighting modifiers to shape the light from your flash. You'll also learn about balancing between ambient light and off-camera flash light to create stunning location portraits like the ones professional photographers produce!
You'll be exploring off-camera lighting using speedlights and get to experience lighting using a range of lighting modifiers, from MagMod modifiers to softboxes. Part workshop and part shoot, you'll be working with a creative model, shooting in a range of different environments.
This is an exclusive workshop/shoot event and is limited to only 10 participants. Don't miss out!

<LI>Your interchangeable lens camera (DSLR or mirrorless).</LI>
<LI>Lenses from wide-angle to mid-range telephoto (effective focal length range of 16mm - 120mm).</LI>
<LI>This workshop is suitable for Canon, Nikon, Sony and Olympus cameras; users of Pentax, Fujifilm and Panasonic cameras may not be able to use the full gamut of equipment available for high speed sync.</LI>

ABOUT SENG MAH
Seng Mah is the owner of Venture Photography Workshops and Tours, which he has been running since 2009 in Fremantle. He's a photographer, traveller, explorer and educator who has been teaching photography professionally for 10 years. His photographs have won awards and been exhibited in Australia and Internationally. Seng is the 2018 WA Professional Documentary Photographer of the Year, and the WA Professional Travel Photographer of the Year finalist in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He's an experienced photographic judge and is a committee member of the WA Photographic Judges Association.
