NSW Koala Campaign Launch

It’s not a secret. Habitat destruction and degradation is killing koalas. In 20 years, koala numbers have decreased by 33% in New South Wales. They are being pushed to extinction—at this rate, wild koalas will be gone in 30 years.

It’s unacceptable. Together, we can stop koala extinction and we will! The Wilderness Society is launching a new campaign in NSW to save koalas and their homes.

You are invited to join our official launch. The afternoon will be composed of engaging and instructive short workshops led by koala experts where:

- You will get the opportunity to learn everything you want to know about koalas and where to find them in the wild around Sydney

- You will better understand how trees and forests play an essential role for wildlife but also for all of us

- You can bring new ideas into the campaign and help protect koalas in NSW.

It's a family-friendly event, with wildlife-related activities and direct access to the WILD PLAY Garden, first state-of-the-art nature-play facility.
