Northern tourism operators are invited to attend a webinar to learn more about the proposed transmission line upgrades in northern Tasmania
About this event
TasNetworks invites northern tourism operators to attend a webinar to learn more and provide feedback on proposed transmission upgrades in Tasmania’s north and north west.
The webinar will include a presentation followed by a facilitated discussion.
The presentation will provide an overview of the North West Transmission Developments Project, an explanation of the Social Impact Assessment and Tourism Impact Assessment studies and provide you with information about how you can sign up to participate in future engagement activities.
The facilitated discussion will focus on collecting feedback from the tourism sector about the potential impacts, mitigation measures and benefits for the tourism industry relating to the construction and operation of the project.
Please note, this webinar will focus on the area of the North West Transmission Developments between Palmerston, Sheffield, Burnie, East Cam and Hampshire, and does not include the new section of the transmission network between Staverton and Hampshire Hills. A separate process was run for this section of the project in 2020.
For more information about the North West Transmission Developments, please see TasNetworks' website at: North West Transmission Developments - TasNetworks.
A Zoom link will be provided to registered participants via a separate email.
If you are unable to attend the webinar, please register your interest in receiving a copy of the recording. This will be emailed after the session.
