Frequently asked questions

Can I bring children on this course?

Yes, absolutely. Your ticket is for your car, who you bring with you is entirely up to you. As long as everyone has a seat belt (and appropriate child seat if necessary) then you are welcome to bring the whole gang.

Are we able to swap drivers?

For sure. There is no charge for additional drivers on our Noosa North Shore Course. Feel free to stop and swap any time that you like. (Drivers must hold Provisional or Open Licenses, sorry, we can't accomodate Learner Drivers on this course.)

Do I require a beach permit?

Yes, yes you do. There are hefty fines for accessing the beach without a valid permit. It is your responsibility to obtain one before you access the beach.

Can I purchase food and drink?

There is a small but well stocked cafe at the Noosa North Shore Retreat (across the road from our meeting place). This is your last opportunity to purchase food or refreshments.

Can I bring my dog, cat, budgie, pet worm?

No, sorry. We will be entering the Cooloola National Park. Domestic animals are prohibited. They can not be in the park, even if they stay in your car.

Where will we meet?

We will meet in the car park OPPOSITE the Noosa North Shore Hotel. You will need $10 (as at January 2024) cash each way for the Noosa River Ferry. Please give yourself extra time to arrive as some mornings there can be a queue for the ferry.

Do I need recovery gear?

No, we'll supply everything that is needed for the course. Please feel free to bring what you have if you'd like our trainers to offer advice on its suitability.

Is there mobile phone coverage?

Sort of. Telstra customers seem to have some coverage for the first part of the day. If conditions allow, our lunch break is at the Double Island Point Lagoons, al three carriers have a signal here.

What should I pack?

Sun safe clothes, hat, lunch, water, insect repellant... all the usual things for a day on the beach.
