Node Girls Workshop - Learn to code

Muses run JavaScript and Node.js workshops for women, non-binary and trans folk around Australia.We believe that everyone should try programming at least once in their life. Therefore we created a community where, in a friendly atmosphere with a great vibe you can try programming for the first time or, if you already code, learn something new about JavaScript and/or Node.js.

Who are we?
Node Girls is an Australia wide program teaching women to code!
Workshops range from beginner to more advanced and are open to all women aged 16+ (this particular workshop is BEGINNERS!)
We are a group passionate about educating and getting women excited about technology. Whether you have your own business and want to be able to create or support your own website or tech... Or you are interested in a career change into technology... Come along and give it a go in a supportive and safe environment.
Our full day coding bootcamp is a great place to learn basics of programming (html OR javascript programming language) for those who never tried programming before. This event is also good for those who want to grow their network and meet new people with similar interests.
 What to bring with you:
- laptop (if you do not have laptop please contact us and we will try to arrange something for you) - charger - desire to learn - good mood
 Rough agenda for the day:
9:45 - 10:15 Registration 10:15 - 10:30 Intro 10:30 - 12:30 Coding workshop with help of mentors 12:30 - 1:30 Lunch (healthy options provided - please contact us with dietary requirements) 1:30 - 3:30 Coding workshop with help of mentors 3:30 - 4:00 Wrap up, next steps
On the day attendees will be divided with short presentation on how to start and following up coding exercises on html. The format of the event will be code-alone with the explanations in the tasks and help of our mentors. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask them here or write to organizator directly.
