Explore astrophotography at Stockton Sand Dunes with Nikon lecturers Heesoo Chung and Will Eades, capturing stars, trails, and panoramas

Experience the awe of the night sky in this immersive astrophotography workshop at Stockton Sand Dunes. Guided by Nikon School Lecturers Heesoo Chung and Will Eades, this hands-on class is designed for beginner to intermediate photographers looking to build confidence and capability shooting the stars in a unique, low–light-pollution environment.

You’ll dive straight into astrophotography, learning how to photograph stars, constellations, and the Milky Way while managing the technical challenges of night shooting. The expansive dunes provide an ideal setting for experimenting with compositions, star movement, and long exposures.

Heesoo and Will will guide you through core astrophotography techniques as well as more advanced approaches, including panoramas, star trails, and star tracking. Whether you’re brand new to astrophotography or looking to refine your technique and expand your portfolio, this workshop offers practical guidance, real-time feedback, and plenty of shooting time under the stars.
