Join us for a hands-on few days exploring the future of farming in North Queensland.

The Next Gen 2026 Cane Forum brings together growers, researchers, and industry leaders to share ideas, see new technology in action, and talk about where our industry is heading.

Kicking off with pre-forum networking drinks at the Queens Hotel, Ayr on 2 March, the conference runs from 3 - 4 March across the Burdekin and Herbert regions.

  • Live on-farm demonstrations – see automation, smart irrigation, and precision ag tools in the paddock.
  • Sessions with industry experts – from carbon farming and reef compliance to AI and genetics in agriculture.
