New Farm Business Catch-up December
A quarterly casual catch-up for local business owners to connect.
NEW FARM BUSINESS CATCH-UP
Presented by Dean Merlo and Village Voice's Michael Hawke.
Join us for an afternoon tea catch-up with other local businesspeople at the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre, featuring special guest speaker Paul Fairweather who will inspire us to unleash our creativity.
Attendance is free, but please RSVP to secure your place.
Event Details:
- Tuesday 9 December 2025
- 1:30pm - 3:30pm
- New Farm Neighbourhood Centre, Brunswick Street
Thanks to Dean Merlo of Merlo / Milano Bakehouse for generously supplying afternoon tea.
Gift Donation
Guests are asked to bring an unwrapped present(or in a gift bag) to the value of $20 which will be gifted to a vulnerable person at the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre's Christmas Party in December. For some, the centre's gift may be the only gift they receive this Christmas. Gift suggestions include anything you might buy for a Secret Santa: a candle, cookbook, ornament, mug, socks, etc.
Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker Paul Fairweather is an artist, speaker, author, and former award-winning architect who runs keynotes and workshops that help individuals and teams build the courage to create and the confidence to connect through bold ideas, brave stories, and a visual twist.
He has recently released a book that is part memoir, part creative manifesto, called 'Bold, Brave and a bit Quirky' and will hold the official book launch and exhibition in December. If you'd like to get a sneak peek at his work before we hear from him at our event, come along to FOLAR - Architecture + Interiors for an exhibition of the original watercolours and the official book launch on Saturday, December 6, at 3pm. Click here to RSVP for the launch.
Connect with your community
In the spirit of collaboration, we encourage each business to share a perk with the other attendees. Do you have a product or service you could promote? Perhaps it is a discount, or an extra with purchase, or something else that you could offer to our New Farm Business group.
