Who can attend this event?

To attend this event, you must be residing in South-Western Sydney or Nepean Blue Mountains regions in NSW, Australia. You must also be identified as an unpaid caregiver and be registered with Carer Gateway services. We can also assist with new registrations for eligible participants.

Who is an unpaid caregiver?

An unpaid caregiver is someone who provides support or care for a friend, family member or loved one who is frail aged or living with a long-term illness or disability (including mental health). This includes providing emotional or social support to someone living in a care facility.

Carer Gateway is pleased to invite you to join our coaching workshop: Neurodiversity Information Series for Vietnamese-Speaking Caregivers. These sessions will be delivered in Vietnamese.

Are you caring for a child or loved one with a neurodiversity or disability? Take part in our special 4-session seminar series, designed to support you with practical knowledge and effective strategies. This is an opportunity to learn, connect and share experiences with other people who understand the joys and challenges of being a caregiver.

Sessions will be held on the dates listed below. Each session will discuss a different topic. Participants are welcome to attend any of the sessions; however, we encourage you to join all sessions to gain the full benefit of the workshop.

Session 1: Navigating the NDIS System - Thursday 5th February

Session 2: Understanding and Reorienting Autism - Thursday 5th March

Session 3: Understanding Advocacy - Thursday 19th March

Session 4: Brain Diversity & Practical Parenting Experiences - Thursday 2nd April

Morning tea and light refreshments will be provided. Please provide details of any food allergies or other special dietary requirements with your RSVP.
