Neurodiversity Carers Connect (Penrith)
Join us at the Neurodiversity Carers Connect group in Penrith for support, connection, and understanding.
Neurodiversity Carers Connect is a 7-session In-Person Peer Support program facilitated by peers and mentors with lived experience of both neurodivergence and caring. The program is designed as an opportunity for you to meet other parents and carers, make new connections and learn about a strength-based approach to caring for, or with, Autism, ADHD and other developmental, learning and sensory differences.
The program enables families to connect with peers in a supportive neuro-friendly environment, build positive neurodivergent identity, and learn how to support well-being and harmony at home. The groups are carer-led so any topics or activities will be determined by you and the other carers in your group.
Topics could include;
- common difficulties within neurodiverse families
- strategies and resources recommended by those with lived-experience of neurodivergence
- understanding differences in neurodivergent brains and behaviour
- nervous system regulation strategies
- self-care for neurodivergent people and their carers
- advocating at school
Sessions will be held weekly from 10am - 12pm on Tuesdays starting from 17th February, 2026. Please note: there will be no session on 3rd March. Carers are encouraged to attend all sessions to get the most out of the experience.
If you are having trouble registering for this event, please call us on 1800 422 737.
Please note: This event is open to residents living in South-Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains regions in NSW, Australia only. Participants must also be registered with Carer Gateway (we can assist with new registrations for eligible participants).
