This session will explore the government’s approach to developing an overarching net zero strategy

Join Dr Elizabeth Fellows, Acting Assistant Under Treasurer, Climate at Queensland Treasury, to hear about Queensland’s approach to cutting emissions and driving a climate resilient future.The Queensland Government has committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, with a clear, credible, and affordable roadmap designed to maintain the state’s competitiveness, unlock private sector investment, and ensure resilience for industries and communities alike.This session will explore the government’s approach to developing an overarching net zero strategy, the development of sectoral emissions reduction plans - covering energy, resources, agriculture and land, transport, industry, and the built environment - and the timeline for their release.
