NDS Annual Symposium

The role of leadership will be critical to the success of disability and community service providers in the move toward individualised funding arrangements.

This years event will feature a presentation from Prof. Peter Gahan,  founding Director of the Centre for Workplace Leadership and Professor of Management at the University of Melbourne. Peter was the lead author of the Study of Australian Leadership, a national survey that provides a comprehensive picture of leadership in Australian organisations.  The study provides an assessment of how leadership impacts workplace performance, innovation and employee outcomes.

Peter began his career at the University of New South Wales and, since then, has held academic positions at USC, LA; Monash; Deakin; UNSW and The European University Institute.  Peter has extensive experience in business management, including four years as Director of Workplace Innovation in the Victorian Department of Industry, Innovation and Regional Development (DIIRD).

The event will be opened by (Hon) Matthew Groom and NDS State Manager, David Clements will provide a summary of the year in review.
