NCCD Cross-School Moderation ONLINE (Primary)
Moderation with Catholic Education colleagues.
Moderation is a key quality assurance process of the NCCD. Participants review student information to determine both a Level of Adjustment (LoA) and a Category of Disability (CoD).
This online cross-school moderation is designed for participants who have undertaken a within-school moderation and who work in rural and remote schools.
Who should attend?
Teachers, school leaders and school counsellors/psychologists working in rural and remote schools.
Registration
- Participants are required to register individually using their school email address.
- Personal email addresses will not be accepted.
- If more than one person from the same school attends, each person must register separately and use their own device for the session.
- Only registered participants will receive digital links for the session.
- Registrations for online moderation close 2 weeks before the event to allow time for uploading documents. Requests for late registrations cannot be accepted
Workshop details
- Duration: 3 hours
- Purpose: Moderate student information to determine the Level of Adjustment and Category of Disability for the NCCD count.
- Attendance: You will be working in small groups; full attendance for the session is required.
- Preparation: Upload one de-identified set of student information to the CEQL site.
- Supporting resources for the workshop:
o Selecting the level of adjustment (the level of adjustment matrix (A3)
o Broad categories of disability used in the NCCD (PDF)
o Examples of evidence to support a student’s inclusion in the NCCD (PDF)
o Moderation resource for schools
How to prepare for the session?
- Participants will receive an email with upload instructions and must read these carefully.
- Uploading the student ensures your access to the secure online platform required for moderation.
Cancelling your ticket
