Navigating Diagnostic and Treatment Challenges: Is it Borderline Personality Disorder or Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder?

Clinicians can face complex diagnostic and treatment challenges when people present with features of both borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A degree of clarity has been achieved since Complex PTSD was formally included in ICD-11 but diagnostic difficulties and treatment challenges persist. Over the course of this conference, experts from the fields of BPD and complex trauma - separated for too long - will guide clinicians towards diagnostic clarity while informing treatment and research directions.

Who should attend? Mental health workers, clinicians, researchers and other professionals working with people with personality disorders.

If you are an Eastern Health employee a 50% discount applies. The conference is free for Spectrum employees. Please seek approval from your manager to attend and then email spectrumtraining@easternhealth.org.au to receive the discount.

Online and in-person registrations will receive a recording of the conference to view for a limited time.

Cancellation policy: If your circumstances change and you no longer can attend this event please log into your eventbrite account and cancel your ticket and request a refund no later than one (1) week prior to the event. A refund will not be issued if notification has not been received within this time frame and you will be required to pay for the event.

If you purchase an in-person ticket and, in the event of COVID-19 restrictions the conference is moved online, you will be reimbursed the difference in cost.
