NaturallyGC - Wetland Discovery with Scientists
Overview
Join us for a fascinating exploration of Coombabah Lakelands, a Ramsar wetland recognised for conservation of biological diversity. Shaped by water over time, it's a mosaic of shifting fresh and saltwater where you will discover the hidden processes that happen under the water.
Expert waterway scientists will guide you to investigate water physical and chemical characteristics, tiny waterbugs and wetland sediments, revealing the secrets of this unique ecosystems. Through seeing, touching, smelling, and listening, participants will learn how wetlands change over days, decades, and millennia—and why they are so important.
