Native Bee Masterclass

Katrina Forstner, founder of Buzz and Dig and environmental educator, runs native bee and sustainability workshops. In Katrina's private garden, this fun and informative workshop aims to celebrate Pollinator Week by promoting insect biodiversity in a native bee friendly Preston backyard.This workshop will introduce you native bees, getting native pollinators to help you and your edible garden and inspiration for any budget on how to create a bee friendly paradise in your garden including an opportunity to take home a perennial herb that is a native bee magnet for any sunny spot in the garden.

Come and learn about native bees in my backyard bee oasis in Preston. You&#x27;ll learn how to identify native bees, co-evolution of bees and plants, nesting behaviours, buzz pollination, and how to increase beneficial insect biodiversity in your backyard. Come and make your ultimate bed and breakfast offer for the bees by creating a bee hotel using upcycled materials and take home some bee friendly organic open pollinated seeds for your garden.Strictly limited numbers! You&#x27;ll take home and amazing wooden bee hotel you&#x27;ve created and some open pollinated organic bee friendly flower and herb seeds to plant to create the ultimate bee friendly backyard.Please share with friends and family who are passionate about their gardens.Please note: Access to this garden is limited and not suitable for wheelchair or pram access. due to uneven surfaces and steps.
