The Australian National Maritime Museum is a proud sponsor of the 2024 National History Challenge!

National History Challenge - Australian National Maritime Museum (sea.museum)

During this special event for teachers, you will gain insights into the 2024 NHC from the NSW competition co-ordinator and hear about the museum's special category of migration.

Go on a guided tour with Dr Roland Leikauf, the museum’s Curator of Post-war immigration.

Visit the Tu Do (a Vietnamese refugee boat meaning ‘Freedom’) and hear the courageous story of the Lu family who embarked on an intrepid 6000Km voyage to Australia.

Enjoy complimentary refreshments while networking with other education professionals.
