NAMBOUR HUB: Try Mindfulness with MBSR Taster Session
Try a one‑off taster of Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Robyn from Openground. Learn practical tools to calm stress.
Caring for others can be rewarding — and exhausting. This session is an invitation to pause, breathe, and focus on your wellbeing.
Join us for a gentle, one‑off taster session of Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), facilitated by Robyn from Openground. This session is designed especially for carers and offers a chance to try out mindfulness in a supportive, low‑pressure environment.
MBSR is a well‑established, evidence‑based program that helps people manage stress and navigate life’s challenges with more steadiness and self‑compassion. This taster session gives an overview of the full 8‑week program — with simple practices you can experience on the day.
This session may help you:
- Feel calmer and more settled in your body
- Notice thoughts and emotions without being overwhelmed
- Reduce stress and constant “on‑the‑go” thinking
- Learn small, practical ways to care for yourself alongside caring for others
- Find moments of ease, even during busy or challenging days
You don’t need any prior experience with mindfulness, meditation, or group programs. There’s no pressure to share, no expectations, and nothing to “get right.” You’re welcome to take part in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
This session is ideal if you’re:
- Curious about mindfulness but unsure where to start
- Supporting someone else and feeling stretched or depleted
- Interested in learning gentle tools for stress, rest, and emotional balance
- Wondering whether the longer MBSR program might be right for you
Come along to try it out, ask questions, and see if this approach feels supportive for you — even if you’re tired, distracted, or short on time.
