NAIDOC Week poetry and storytelling workshop I Batemans Bay

About this event
Students aged eight to 14 are invited to the libraries during NAIDOC week to learn about Indigenous ways of healing country and the art of modern day story telling through poetry.
This event will be led by Dakota Feirer - a commissioned poet supporting the environmental restoration project, Poem Forest.
Having grown up on Yuin country and graduating from an honors degree at UOW Dakota has been carving a path as an independent researcher, educator and advocate for healing country and is passionate about giving back to community.

- Your attendance at events supported by Eurobodalla Libraries may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council’s websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
- Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
- Children 12 years and under cannot be left at the library unattended. A parent/guardian/responsible adult must remain in the library as minimal supervision is provided during events
