The Electric Barbercats are not your normal barbershop quartet. They will leave you in stitches with their outlandish song parodies and comedic routines. It’s Vaudeville and barbershop all wrapped into one, with a touch of Aussie humour to boot.
The quartet was formed late one night in 2017 in a lounge room and they have gone on to win multiple national barbershop quartet medals in Open competition from 2018 to 2023. Most recently they came home with a swag of medals from the Pan Pacific Contest held in Auckland. They represented Barbershop Harmony Australia at the International Contest in the USA in 2019 and will be travelling to the USA once again this year.
They have also honed their performing skills in musical shows such as Funhouse, We Will Rock You, Jesus Christ Superstar and Pirates of Penzance. Comprising experienced singers, Andrew Milner, Dan Millgate, Ash Schofield and Ian Mulholland, they are an act not to be missed.
