A night of cello and piano music
Our wonderful to return to St Mary’s Church in East Balmain, a hidden gem of a space for chamber music, with brilliant pianist Brieley Cutting for this varied programme.
Music for Cello and Piano #2
Brieley and Chris are teaming up again, presenting a concert centred around Beethoven’s magnificent Cello and Piano Sonata No. 3 in A major.
Also on the programme will be Schumann’s late Five Pieces in Folk Style, music by the Boulanger sisters, Popper’s beloved Hungarian Rhapsody, and splash of 14th and 16th century music from Guillaume De Machaut and Tobias Hume, mixed with some of Chris’s own contemporary-styled improvisations.
