Join local fibre artist Cristina from Solstice Fibre at Harvest Lake Community Centre for a fun-filled, crafty workshop exploring the art of needle felting.

This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone wanting to try something new and get creative. During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of needle felting while creating your own whimsical felted mushrooms using natural wool. Cristina will guide you step-by-step through the process, covering safe tool use, shaping techniques, and creative design choices.

You’ll have the freedom to choose your own colours and styles, then learn how to turn your felted creations into wearable earrings, attaching them to hooks and clasps using pliers.

All materials are provided, just bring your crafty self! Whether you’re brand new to felting or simply looking for a cozy creative space, this workshop is a lovely way to learn a new skill and take home a pair of funky, handmade earrings you’ll be proud to wear.

This workshop is suitable for ages 9+. Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
