Overview

A calming, baby-friendly workshop for new mums,and dads.

Connect, create and enjoy mindful moments and take home a forever keepsake ceramic footprint of your baby.

Dads, partners, grandparents or a support person are encouraged to come along to join in or support.

No experience needed, just bring your baby aged 6 weeks to 6 months – pre-crawlers.

What to expect:

  • A gentle, creative experience hand-building with clay
  • Pieces are pre-prepared and finished off by Saskia
  • Facilitated by a qualified health professional, Midwife and Maternal Child and Family Health Nurse with lived and professional experience supporting families
  • All materials provided
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on
  • Your ceramic creations will be taken to fire in a kiln and returned to the Gallery for you to collect at a later date.

About Saskia:

Saskia is a registered midwife and ceramic artist with a deep passion for nurturing both parents and creativity. Living locally, she has supported countless new parents on their journey and understands the importance of gentle, enriching experiences in early parenthood.

This workshop series is subsidised by the City of Tea Tree Gully to support access to high-quality arts experiences for our community.
