Race smarter, flow faster, waste less energy & perform better. Small-group WAGE practice day session focused on MTB enduro racecraft.

Want to go faster without pedalling harder? Want to finish stages with more energy — and better results?

These 1-hour WAGE practice day Race Skills & Tactics sessions are designed for riders who want to get more out of their race weekend. Whether you’re chasing podiums, top-10s, or just your best ride yet, this session is about enduro racecraft — not just riding harder.

You’ll work in a small group with Rohan, focusing on how to ride trails as race stages, not just typical laps.

What we’ll cover

  • Line selection that actually saves time.
  • Where to generate speed (and where not to waste effort).
  • How to carry speed and stop bleeding momentum.
  • Riding efficiently so you’re fresher for later stages.
  • Trail-specific tactics for enduro racing.
  • Practical riding skills that translate directly to race results.

The session is run on black trails for this booking; focused on how to perform at your best on these trails. It is NOT about "advanced" racers. You can also sign up for our green trails and blue trails sessions to get the complete experience.

This session is about making smart speed on technical, high-consequence terrain. Rather than “just surviving” black stages, we focus on riding them with control, flow, and tactical awareness — knowing when to push, when to stay smooth, and how to manage risk across a full race day.

Coaching approach

Rohan adapts each session to the group on the day. We practice rider-first coaching: different riders = different strengths — the goal is to help you ride faster, not force a one-size-fits-all technique.

Rohan has been coaching MTB skills since 2011 and has raced downhill in Canada, enduro in France, even WAGE in its first season (2014).

He has regularly been on the podium since returning to living in Perth (winning his age group overall his first full season), along with the Peel DH races.

He’s also worked alongside world-class athletes and teams through Garmin, Wahoo, Specialized, SRAM, Mavic, Stages, and more — bringing pro race insight into every session.

Why book this session?

Because race results aren’t just about fitness (yes it helps, but if a software developer can win races...). They’re about decisions, efficiency, confidence, and flow.

Make your practice day count — and line up on race day knowing you're as well prepared as you can be.

This is for WAGE racers

  • Teen racers keen to improve results and confidence.
  • Adult racers who want smarter, more efficient speed.
  • Riders new to the venue or new to racing — Not for beginners; however if you’re racing WAGE, you’re ready for this.

Younger riders who require a shadow rider to race will also require a participating parent in the session.

All WAGE rider requirements also apply for these sessions.

Standard information:

  • You MUST be present from the start of the clinic. If you miss our safety talk we are not able to have you join the group. This is for everyone's well-being, and is a requirement enforced on us that we can’t make exceptions for. We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes early to ensure you and your bike are prepared and ready to go on time.
  • You will need to provide your own bike and all equipment (at least a helmet and enclosed shoes). They must be fully operational.
  • Ensure you have enough water, snacks and sunscreen for the duration of the clinic.
  • Requires 3 attendees for the event to run, or the event will be rescheduled.
  • Non-participating parents are requested NOT to observe the clinic (as this impacts the dynamic of kids participating in the group).
