FREE Community Bus service at Mt Atkinson & Grandview to help commuters get to and from Rockbank Station

We are delighted that Stockland, Caroline Springs RSL and Edmund Rice Community Services (Vic) have partnered together to provide residents living in both Mt Atkinson and Grandview estates a FREE Community Bus service to help commuters get to and from Rockbank Train Station.

Bus Stop Locations

Mt Atkinson bus stop

  • Grizzly Bear Park (Appalacian Street)
  • Mt Atkinson Children's and Community Centre (Clara Ave)

Grandview bus stop

  • Dinosaur Park (Altezze Drive)
  • Highline Park (Altezze Drive)

Bus Route

Morning Services: The bus route will have three pick up locations, starting at Mt Atkinson Children's and Community Centre, then Grizzly Bear Park in Mt Atkinson and then head to Dinosaur Park and Highline Park in Grandview before driving to Rockbank Train Station to drop passengers off. The bus will then return to Mt Atkinson and repeat this route.

Evening Services: Residents will be collected at Rockbank Train Station, dropped off firstly at Dinosaur Park, Highline Park, then Grizzly Bear Park and finish at Mt Atkinson Children's and Community Centre.

Booking your Seat

1. Click on orange button titled "Check Availability".

2. Choose the date you want to travel by clicking on the date (ignore the blue 5AM button)

3. Click on the orange button titled "Continue"

4. Select the number of seats/passengers your booking requires

5. Click on orange button titled "Register"

6. Complete your personal information and then click orange button again titled "Register"

7. Await a confirmation email

8. Confirm your booking by showing your e-ticket on your phone/device to the driver as you hop aboard - your ticket will be emailed to you or you can save your ticket by downloading and storing it in the Eventbrite app

Other important information

- There is a maximum of 11 passengers per service.

- The Community Bus is available for children 7 years and over. Primary aged children must be supervised by a parent or sibling that is secondary school aged.

- Passenger pickup and drop off will only be available at the designated bus stops

- Seatbelts must be worn at all times

- Food is not to be consumed on the bus

- The Community Bus does not have aided access for wheelchairs to be loaded on or off the vehicle. Chris the driver can provide an extra step for those needing any additional assistance

- The Community Bus cannot wait for passengers who are running late to ensure the bus meets its planned schedule

- Bookings are mandatory: the bus driver will have the final list of passenger names for each service to coordinate the best approach to manage any booking discrepancies

- If you no longer require a seat, please be sure to cancel your booking so that other passengers can book in

- Please book seats for passengers in your household only

- Service route may change to accommodate potential road works

- There is a limited amount of space available on the bus so please avoid bringing large luggage such as a bike or suitcases. Collapsible scooters are suitable.

- Should Chris be concerned about any behaviours being displayed by a passenger, he has the authority to prevent them from boarding the service

- If the bus breaks down, Chris and Edmund Rice CommunityServices will manage a contingency plan which may involve passengers having to find their own means of transport

-For the safety of all passengers, please do not board the bus if you are feeling unwell or have even the mildest symptoms.

- We encourage all passengers to wear masks to help prevent transmission of cold and flus.
