MSA Queer - LGBTea's 2026

MSA Queer - LGBTea's 2026

Overview

LGBTea is a morning tea for queer and questioning students that runs every Tuesday from 11am in the MSA Queer Lounge!

LGBTea is MSAQ's weekly morning tea event.

Queer and questioning students can come by for some free food (baked or bought with accomodating dietary requirements in mind), make use of the queer lounge's kitchenette for a hot drink or a milo, and enjoy the company of other LGBT+ students!

Its a wonderful opportunity for new students, or those who are new to Monash's queer community, to meet people and socialise in a relaxed, friendly, low-stakes environment.

People can drop by anytime. People are often around for a while after the official end-time, and there are often leftovers from tea available throughout the day.

Can't wait to see you there <3

The Monash Student Association would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this event will be held, the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nations. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present; and acknowledge their long history and ongoing care practises for this land.

Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.

The MSA’s Queer Department is an autonomous department supporting all queer-identifying and questioning students. Ensuring that the Queer Lounge is a safe, private community space in the Campus Centre is a priority, as is working to make student programs as inclusive and accessible as possible, and advocating for Queer students’ rights.
