We were setting up the letterpress studio one night when a band started practising in the other half of the Paint Factory. Their loose, psychedelic blues rolled through the walls and everything paused — that’s when we knew Waving @ Cars belonged in the room with our presses. Honest, a little mysterious, and exactly the right kind of noise for printing.

Some Friday nights call for a change of pace; something slower, more tactile, a little unexpected. At Moveable Type Studio, we’re opening the doors for a one‑night session where you can step out of the usual end‑of‑week vibes and into the easy rhythm the presses.

Waving @ Cars will be playing a live ambient set while the letterpress studio runs a relaxed print session. You’re welcome to jump in and print your own band tee using our custom relief printing plates, or simply settle in, watch the demos, and enjoy the atmosphere. No pressure to perform, no need to know anything about printing —just a small group of people sharing a room, some ink, and a good soundtrack.
