About this event

It is with much disappointment and regret to inform you that we must postpone MOULD – A Cheese Festival in Melbourne (June 25-27).

This Festival is all about connecting you, the cheese lover, to the amazing Australian cheese makers we help represent. Without you both, there is no festival.

Even with likelihood of restrictions easing in time for June 25 – 27, there is still doubt and uncertainty surrounding interstate travel and the ability of the cheesemakers to not only join the event but return to their farms without the need to quarantine. Animals do not milk themselves, after all.

In addition, we need to make this decision now so as not to pressure or burden the makers creating cheese especially for the event and therefore the risk of excess stock. Been there, done that.

For us, it is difficult to express how this feels as the disappointment is real and deep, as since October 2019, we (REVEL) have run only two festivals (Brisbane and Sydney MOULD) and are yet to run one in our beloved hometown.

It is all the more bitter when we consider the festival sold out well over a month ago, and how patience and supportive all of you have been. Plus, you know, lockdown.

HOWEVER, we will NOT be cancelling this event and have been working with the venue, and others, to find an alternative and we’re pleased to say we have a solution and, in many ways, have come full circle.

This event is going to happen, damn it!

We acknowledge the postpone of this event, and the change of venues, is not ideal and frustrating. We feel you. But in the end, we’d rather run a safe, wonderful event experience than not.

Your continued support and patience is so very, very appreciated. Like, so much.

Much Love

Dan, Rachel & Dave

It goes without saying the past 12 months have been a tough one, especially for those who bring people together, but with borders opening and restrictions easing, we can deliver MOULD- A CHEESE FESTIVAL in earnest.

The overwhelming patience and support you’ve shown us will never be forgotten and it has honestly meant the world.

Thank you.

We've come full circle and are now able to return to the MEAT MARKET where we originally planned to hold the event back in 2020.

Even more good news is that session numbers will be restricted to adhere to social distancing and other covid requirements. We think less numbers will actually create an even better event experience.

Please be assured, the health and safety of everyone who attends our events – our guests, our producers, our suppliers and our staff – remains our top priority. We will be strictly following government and public health organisations guidelines.

All MOULD tickets will be automatically transferred to the new date. If you cannot make the new date, you can request a refund no later than 14 days prior to the event. To do so, simply email us at hello@mouldcheesefestival.com

Again, your patience and support has meant the world to us

After a sell out tour, Australia’s favourite cheese festival, MOULD, is coming back to Melbourne in 2021 for an even bigger mozzar-hella good time!

MOULD will bring together the best artisan cheese producers from across the country for a day of cheese, wine, masterclasses and more.

Alongside the best Australian cheeses, there will also be a full food program featuring dishes from local cheesemongers and to wash down all that delicious cheese, there will be wines, whisky, sake, beer and cider available to purchase.

Come and taste the best cheese from all over Australia in one place.

Follow us on social for un-brie-lievable updates as we get closer to the event on Instagram and Facebook.

Presented by REVEL the team behind epic food and wine events including Pinot Palooza and Game of Rhones in collaboration with Nick Haddow of Bruny Island Cheese Co. and Dairy Australia, MOULD will bring together the best artisan producers from across the country for a day of cheese, wine, masterclasses and more.

NOTE: This event runs over multiple sessions. Tickets for each session are limited to manage crowds, creating a better event experience. This event was a sell out last year so to avoid disappointment book your session early.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes please. As alcohol is at the event, you must be over 18 to attend. Please bring a valid form of identification with you on the day just to be sure (Passport or driving license).

Are children permitted at the event?

This is always a tough one. Whilst the answer is a non discriminatory ‘yes’, our events are often very busy, loud and a little hectic so not an ideal place for little people. We suggest getting a baby sitter and having the day off. We’ll bring the wine.

Will tickets be available on the door?

Only if there are any available. But more often than not, ‘no’ as the events sell out prior. We cap numbers to ensure everyone has a great time and it’s not too crazy as we want you coming back. We strongly suggest buying tickets prior to ensure you don’t miss out.

Is there a refund policy?

Refunds are not available for this event.

I haven’t received my ticket? What do I do?

An automated email is sent upon purchasing tickets. If you don’t receive it, it could be for a couple of reasons. Firstly, check the spam folder as sometimes they get stuck there. Other times, when in a rush to purchase (!), some accidentally enter their email address incorrectly. If that’s the case, drop us an email and we’ll search and resend. But all good, you’ll be in our system.

Do I need to print the tickets?

Nope! You can show your ticket on your phone.

Tasting, not drinking

We like to think of these events as a tasting, not a drinking as we want you to experience as many different wine styles on offer. Creating a safe, welcoming and non-intimidating event environment is what we’re all about so any inappropriate behaviour, of an intoxicated nature or not, that is dangerous to yourself and or others, is just not acceptable.

We have a strict ‘no tolerance’ policy so if we witness any of the above, we reserve the right to take appropriate action and have you removed from the venue.

I’ve got a couple of other random questions, what should I do?

Easy. Drop us an email at hello@mouldcheesefestival.com and we’ll get right back to you.

Organiser REVEL

Organiser of MOULD: A Cheese Festival Melbourne 2021

REVEL (formerly Bottle Shop Concepts) is an event-based company hellbent on creating fun, engaging and meaningful events around our favourite thing, drinks. Especially wine.

Steering clear of traditional wine marketing methods, we cast a broader net to collect inspiration from popular culture, music, design and basically anything that captures the imagination.

We think that learning about wine is most effectively done in the same way you drink it: socially. By making wine education fun, a conversation rather than a lecture, what you pick up is bound to stick.
