Begin your evening with drinks and canapés served on the elegant front verandah of Retford Park’s ‘Portuguese Pink’ mansion, as the setting sun bathes the gardens in a warm golden glow.

This is a rare chance to enjoy the property at dusk, when the grounds are at their most serene and to capture stunning sunset photos.

As twilight deepens, you’ll be guided through the historic 1887 house, softly illuminated by lamplight. Our experienced guides will introduce you to the former residence of James Fairfax AC and share the stories behind the incredible collection of 16th, 17th & 18th Century furniture, fine art and textiles that lie within.
