About the topic

The Most Significant Change (MSC) technique is a powerful monitoring and evaluation process to capture outcomes resulting from your project.

MSC is based on collecting perceptions and stories of important changes resulting from your project or program. It facilitates discussions on strategic direction, continuous improvement and adaptive management, it complements quantitative data by putting life into numbers and indicators.

MSC also surfaces stakeholder interests and differences in perspectives, facilitates capture of unexpected outcomes and supports continuous learning and evaluation.

MSC has been extensively used in agriculture and NRM fields.

The introductory workshop will include practical exercises and cover the core steps of story collection and selection processes.

By the end of the day participants will be familiar with the essential core steps of MSC.

Watch the video below for a brief description (1.36 min) of MSC by co-author of MSC User Guide, Dr. Jess Dart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_DLCRHI_YM
