About this event

  • 7 hours

A favourite event on the Mornington Peninsula, this 10 kilometre walking track from Red Hill to Merricks traces an historic rail track, tasting Mornington Peninsula current release wines and food along the way.

This is an all-weather event, so please dress for the day - warm coat, rain protection and good walking shoes/boots.

This year, we'll meeting inside the Red Hill Recreation Reserve with the first group leaving from 8am. It's a market day so it'll be a bit hectic, so leave plenty of time to park in our especially allocated section and check in.

We're thrilled to be looping in with Lindenderry so will go from the Recreation Reserve, through their beautiful gardens for the first stop to taste their new release Chardonnay and Shiraz and a warming, delicious starter.

Then we'll continue down the path from Red Hill to visit the Epicurean for a taste of Foxey's Sparkling then down the beautiful historic rail trail to Paringa Estate, where the food and wine in the vineyard is always amazing, before continuing on down the track to Stonier and finally to Merricks Store for a welcoming lunch and tastings from Baillieu & Elgee Park.

A bus will take you back to Lindenderry for a quick walk back to the Recreation Reserve to collect your car after your lunch.

Dietary Requirements: Due to the nature of this event we can only accommodate Vegetarian and Gluten Free. Please indicate any dietary requirements when booking or email admin@mpva.com.au.

Parking: Parking is at Red Hill Recreating Reserve & Showgrounds (184 Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill). It is a market day, so please follow the directions of the Red Hill Lions parking team. A parking voucher will be sent out closer to the day. Entry will be via Arkwell's Lane.

Refunds: There is a 7 day refund policy.

Accommodation Offer: If you'd like to make weekend out of it with a night (or two) at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill, our friends there have extended a special offer, which you can book directly on their website using MPWINE as the code for 15% off the rack rates for bed and breakfast.

Please note that some details of the event may be subject to change.
