The Moree Mario Kart Challenge is a fun, family-friendly tournament at Social Co House using Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch.
This is a structured, points-based event where everyone plays multiple races, appears on a live leaderboard, and has a real chance to reach the final showdown.
How it works
- 4 players at a time on one screen
- Each player completes 4 races (best 3 results count)
- Points are tracked on a live leaderboard
- The top players advance, with the final 4 racing to decide the champion
- Junior and Open prizes are awarded
The bar will be open for drinks, and pizza will be available from the menu throughout the event.
Spectators are welcome — come along, cheer on the racers and enjoy a great afternoon at Social Co House.

Game settings (fixed for all races)
- 150cc, normal items, no teams
- Smart steering ON for all players
- Same track selection format for every group
Race format
- Groups of 4
- 4 races per player
- Best 3 results count
Equipment
- All consoles and controllers provided
- Treat equipment with care
- No controller swapping during a race
Fair play & behaviour
- No changing settings, no disrupting other players
- Family-friendly behaviour at all times
Event management
- Host decisions are final (including restarts and scoring)
- Players must arrive before their scheduled group time — missed races cannot be replayed

Players arrive, are assigned to their group and given their scheduled race time.
Group stage begins
Players race in groups of four. Each player completes 4 races (best 3 results count). Scores are added to the live leaderboard.
Semi-final stage
The top 16 players progress and race for points to determine the final rankings.
