Event description

Description

Keeping Brisbane clean and green is all about making our city liveable and sustainable for our children, and their children to follow, by protecting enough bushland and parks to fill more than 13,000 Suncorp Stadiums.

Join Bayside Creek Catchment Group and Brisbane City Council to assist in planting trees, shrubs and ground covers at Mookin-Bah Reserve, Wakerley.

By attending, you will get the opportunity to:

  • contribute directly to the creation a of cleaner, greener and more sustainable city by helping to plant 1800 native plant and trees
  • learn more about the reserve with expert guided tours of the local fauna and conservation activities
  • meet the koala detection dog and learn more about how this valuable program is helping to preserve one of our most iconic native animals
  • enjoy a sausage sizzle where you can meet some of the dedicated bush carers that are working with Council to preserve our natural areas for future generations and find out how you can get involved.

For more information, contact Andrew Wills, Creek Catchment Officer on 3407 0215 or email CCPPevents@Brisbane.qld.gov.au.

For off-street parking enter Mookin-Bah Reserve via the lock rail at 90 Green Camp Road.
