10:00 AM - 10:10 AM

First:

We do some colouring in the Activity Space while we wait for everyone to arrive.

10:10 AM - 10:20 AM

Second:

We head out into the Museum to learn about something we find in the exhibition space.

10:20 AM - 11:00 AM

Third:

We head back to the Activity Space for a craft activity based on what we discovered and have a play with some toys when we’re done!

About this event

Mondays at the Museum is a free one-hour session designed for 3–5-year-olds and their grown-ups to explore and create at Orange Regional Museum.

Each week we explore a different part of the museum before getting into a craft activity based on what we've discovered.

Mondays at the Museum is a great opportunity for parents and carers to enjoy time with their children in an educational environment and meet up with other Orange families.

Mondays at the Museum runs each Monday during school terms.


*Please book a ticket for all attending children and adults.

**Please be aware that no food or drink can be consumed inside the Museum. Water in a tightly sealed bottle is permitted.

Frequently asked questions

My child has siblings under the age of 3. Can they come too?

Of course, younger siblings are welcome to attend, and can join in with our activities if they are able to! Just remember to book a ticket for them as well, and make sure you bring anything they might need.

Do Mondays at the Museum activities get messy?

Yes, sometimes. We do provide smocks for your children if a messy activity is planned, but as we know with kids that doesn’t always cut it! So make sure to dress your children in clothes you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on here or there.

I need to cancel my booking. How can I do this?

If you need to cancel your booking, you can contact us at museum@orange.nsw.gov.au / 02 6393 8444. You can also cancel your tickets before the event starts by going to "Tickets," selecting your order and choosing "Cancel Order".

I forgot to book a ticket! Can I come anyway?

You sure can, as long as we still have space available. Unfortunately, we can’t make any guarantees, so booking a ticket is still your best option.

The session is booked out! What can I do?

If you cannot book due to sessions being full, add your details to the waitlist and if a spot opens up, we’ll let you know. You can also book in for future sessions ahead of time to make sure you snag a spot!
