Event description

Description

This meeting will be about Spring Swarms and Native Bees. Come and join us for a Q&A session and short beekeeping trivia on swarms using online live polls! Then sit back and relax as you listen to University of Sydney’s PhD Student, Francisco Garcia Bulle Bueno, talk about the stingless native Australian pollinator, Tetragonula carbonaria (Meliponini). Francisco and his team have been studying T. carbonaria drone swarms and how to attract them for the purposes of estimating colony density and resilience. Sounds pretty clever to us…

Parking in basement beneath or very close to Bondi Junction train station. Also reasonable on-street parking nearby.

Members are free.

Non-members can pay $5 at the door.
