Dr Paulo Alves - Paulo Jorge Pereira Alves is the Assistant Professor of Nursing and Tissue Viability, Catholic Institute of Health Sciences, University of Portugal. Wounds Research Lab co-ordinator. President of the Portuguese Wound Management Association (APTFeridas). Trustee of the European Advisory panel. He completed a PhD in Nursing from Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 2015. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Católica Portugal and has published 35 articles, has 10 book chapters and 5 published books.
Paulo is a member of the International Wound Infection Institute (IWII), member of the Institute of Skin Integrity and Infection Prevention (ISIIP) and a member of the International Surgical Wounds Complications Advisory Panel
(ISWCAP).
Bridget Woodney - has been nursing for 20 years with a background in surgical and ICU. Whilst nursing in Australia she worked as a wound CNS at the RBWH and in Alice Springs. She completed her post grad cert in Wound Care with Monash University, and is working towards completing her Masters in nursing, before undertaking her NPTP (nurse practitioner training program). Bridget has an interest for skin integrity and staff education / support to help maintain and assess the skin integrity of patients.
