You may feel the return to communal ways of living as we can see with the New Urban Village itself. We are returning to community and ‘tribe!’
Cost of living is one driver for this, environmental footprint is another, our own mental wellbeing is also a major one. The World Health Organisation predicts that depression will be the leading cause of death by 2030. We know a major cause of depression is lack of community and connection. What role will ‘tribe’ and communal ways of living play to alleviate this statistic?
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THIS WORKSHOP:
This workshop will explore the role of community and ’tribe' in our own personal growth and wellbeing. Taking you through a group experience connecting with yourself, then each other and then sharing in a process to experience the healing nature of community.
Participants will experience this themselves and be able to then take this back to their families, workplace or own neighbourhood. Hopefully clearly seeing the power community can play in our personal lives, in this time of great change and instability.
There will be:
- a group meditation;
- facilitated discussion;
- and then a ‘circle of trust,’ allowing everyone to experience the way others can support them deeply in their current challenges.
WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM THIS EVENT:
- deeper understanding of coliving and the deeper challenges within community
- clarity on what you can do right now to cultivate more community and connection in your area
- strong personal support from the community of participants to support you with a personall challenge you are facing at this moment
Al is our facilitator and will draw from insights he shares in his new book, Modern Tribe (www.publishizer.com/modern-tribe). A certified yoga and meditation teacher, group facilitator and keynote speaker, this workshop will definitely take you on a journey!
