Overview

The new Australian Indie feature film MISGIVINGS will be having a VIP screening at the beautiful Windsor Cinema, followed by an afterparty.

MISGIVINGS is an award-winning Australian indie feature from Byron Bay–based artist and filmmaker Duncan James.

FILM PLOT

After her husband announces another work trip, a bored suburban woman embarks on a solo road trip, only to stumble upon a shocking discovery that unravels the secrets of his life—and her own.
MISGIVINGS TRAILER https://vimeo.com/1039116757

Beautifully shot by Sydney cinematographer Rishe Le Hunte, the film unfolds across the striking landscapes of the Barrington Coast, with Pacific Palms offering a deceptively serene backdrop. What begins in quiet calm slowly fractures, as tension tightens and the drama draws the audience ever closer to the edge of their seat.

Driven by an original and intricately layered narrative written by Duncan James, Misgivings weaves emotional depth with unexpected turns. Its haunting atmosphere is elevated by a rich and creatively diverse soundtrack, featuring a beautiful original score by composer Blake Fernance.

An accomplished Australian cast—including Joanne Connor, Mace Murray, Jeffrey Richards, Julie-Anne Breen, Claire Bocking, Craig Walker, Reuby Chip, Robin Kukk, and Matt Healey—delivers performances that linger long after the final frame.

European in sensibility, Australian in soul, Misgivings is a quietly unsettling, emotionally charged work—one that stays with you.
A timeless classic in the making.

FREE – Optional for ticket holders:
Join film-maker Duncan James for a post-screening meet-and-greet and celebration at a nearby venue for drinks. Not to be missed! After party details at the cinema on the night.
8:30pm–10:30pm | Location TBA
