Event description

Description

Bushwalking NSW, with the help of a grant from The Environmental Trust, is now offering FREE training courses for those who love nature and want to continue to enjoy it in less harmful ways. Minimal Impact Bushwalking helps to preserve nature and biosecurity in our pristine Australian habitats.

This one-day training course will help you to ‘walk softly’ and leave a minimal impact as well as know the best safety preparations to make before you head out.

Join Neil on the Walls Cave Walk in the Blue Mountains for a 1.4km return walk through the gardens of native wildflowers and where Greaves Creek changed its's course many years ago.

  • Walk will begin in at the beginning of Walls Cave Road at the corner of Walls Cave Road and Evans Lookout Road and continue down Walls Cave Road. Easy track with 140m ascent/descent

  • A short walk to where Greaves Creek changed course many years ago, creating a small canyon where water has cut a tunnel through the rock. Just beyond this canyon lies Walls Cave, where Aboriginal activity dates back at least 12,000 years!

  • Learn about minimal impact bushwalking as we walk along the track.

Please bring sunscreen and water. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. See https://www.bluemts.com.au/info/thingstodo/bushwalks/ for more details.
