The Cr3ative Space- Gold Coast is a place that encourages healing and creativity by providing art workshops, art therapy and counselling services for both adults and children.Art therapy is different from traditional "talk therapy" (counselling) as it is uses the process of art making to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.You don’t need to have any artistic ability tobenefit from art therapy. The goal is not to create a masterpiece, but to reflect on the process and insights gained from creating.Self-expression through art can help people resolve emotional issues, reduce stress, and improve self-esteem and awareness. The Cr3ative Space specialises in anxiety, stress management and helping people live their best life.Vicki is a qualified teacher with 20 years experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Counselling and is a certified Art Therapist. Vicki is passionate about sharing the healing power of the creative arts with others and guiding them on their personal growth and wellness journey.Vicki runs sessions either at The Cr3ative Space art studio or private homes, schools, work places, retirement homes etc. Group and individual sessions for adults and children are available.

The Cr3ative Space- Gold Coast

Mindful Teens at The Cr3ative Space focuses on helping teens develop mindfulness skills to assist with relieving stress, managing emotions, building self-esteem, relaxation and resilience.
Put simply, mindfulness is a way of training yourself to pay attention in a specific way to what is happening right now.  It is about observing your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and environment, without judgment.
Research has shown that mindfulness training for children improved attention, memory and decision making abilities.  Self-awareness, social awareness, self-confidence and resilience were proven to increase, as well as the ability to self-regulate emotions such as fear and anger (kidsmatter.edu.au).
This program incorporates a variety of mindfulness strategies including breathing techniques, visualisation, using the senses and mindful art.

Cost: 6 week program $150
When: Tuesday 5:00- 6:00pm for ages 13-18 years
Where: The Cr3ative Space, Burleigh Waters
Starts:  Tuesday 31st July to 4th September, 2018
What to Bring:
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle
Workshops are limited to only 4 children, so bookings are essential.
