This calming, creative session is all about holes, patching, slow stitching, fusing, reinforcement, and visible mending — a beautifully mindful practice that transforms imperfections into something meaningful and personal.
Whether your garments have wear and tear or you simply love the aesthetic of visible mending, this workshop gently teaches you how to slow down, stitch with intention, and create repairs that feel like art.
What You’ll Learn
In this 45-minute session, you’ll explore:
• How to repair holes neatly and cleanly
• Patch reinforcement
• Basic hand-stitching
• Darning techniques for thinning or worn areas
• How to use colour, thread, and texture for visible mending
• Slow stitching as a mindfulness practice
• Simple ways to refresh and revive old garments
• Stabilising delicate or stretched fabrics
• How to use fusing for clean support and structure
These approachable techniques work for denim, tees, shirts, kids’ clothes, linen, and most woven fabrics.
📦 Tools + Supplies Provided
Everything is supplied — simply bring your garments.
We provide:
• Hand sewing needles + embroidery needles
• Full range of threads (neutrals + colours)
• Fabric scraps (varied textures + colours)
• Fusing and stabiliser materials
• Pins, chalk, scissors, seam rippers
• Iron + ironing board
• Printed take-home guides
This is a hand-sewing only session.
No overlocker or sewing machine is used, to keep the experience calming and accessible.

Bring 1–2 garments that need love, such as:
• Items with holes
• Worn or thinning areas
• Stretched spots
• Loose hems
• Frayed edges
• Kids’ clothing
• Jeans, shirts, tees, shorts — all welcome
No experience is required. Beginners are absolutely welcome.
